Chanel are releasing a new perfume to add to the ‘Coco’ family of fragrances; Chanel Coco Noir perfume.
In 1984, Chanel Coco perfume was released – a blend of wood, resins, flower, spices and fruit and then in 2001 Chanel Coco Mademoiselle – a fresh burst of fruit and flowers was released and in 2012 we have Chanel Coco Noir perfume.
Gabrielle Chanel travelled to Venice to mourn the loss of Boy Capel and the new Chanel Coco Noir fragrance is inspired by that journey.
Chanel’s master perfumier Jacques Polge has said that:
“Coco Noir is the magnificent evocation of that woman in that city and all those women today who choose intensity over the bland norm; the detours of seduction over perfunctory exhibitionism, and true luxury over vulgarity.”
