OPI Holland Collection nail polish swatches

If I’m perfectly honest, I wasn’t as excited about the OPI Spring/ Summer Holland 2012 nail polish collection as I have been about others – I thought it looked pretty enough, but nothing too fabulous. But when I saw the OPI Holland display at my local department store today, I was suprised by how good it looked!

I ended up choosing two of the OPI Holland nail polishes so here are my two OPI Holland collection nail polish swatches to show you!

First up is the absolutely amazing OPI A Roll in the Hague nail polish. When I first saw the pics of the  OPI Holland collection, this was the one polish that I thought I might quite like… and boy do I like it!

OPI A Roll in the Hague is a bright orange nail polish. It’s a true orange colour, not corally at all and it is absolutely beautiful. A Roll in the Hague is everything I hoped MAC Oriele Orange from the Iris Apfel for MAC collection would be when I bought it.

The texture is a wee bit too thick, which makes it a little hard to handle and you have to be patient while it dries, but the finish is perfect – completely opaque, completely streak-free and completely freaking gorgeous!

So in case you can’t already tell, I urge you to add OPI A Roll in the Hague nail polish to your collection!

The next Holland nail polish I chose was OPI I Don’t Give a Rotterdam, which is a pale grey-cornflower blue polish with a really subtle silver shot through it.

This is such a pretty colour! I’m not as wowed by I Don’t Give a Rotterdam as I was by A Roll in the Hague, but I think that has more to with my bright nail polish obsession than this lovely blue shade.

On first coat OPI I Don’t Give a Rotterdam is thin, very thin… so I was worried it wasn’t going to layer up well enough to get an opaque finish, but after 3 coats I had a perfectly opaque finish, so nothing to worry about there!

They are both beautiful colours and surprisingly enough, I would much prefer A roll in the hague. I lack orange in my nail polish collection. :p

Ooh if you are looking for a bright orange I 100% recommend A Roll in the Hague – Love it! xoxo
