There were two distinct camps when it came to Oscars 2012 manicures; either super pale neutrals or dark glossy nails seem to be the order of the day!

Now it’s no secret that I’m not a fan of pale neutral manicures, but I love a super dark manicure – my favourite dark nail polish is Zoya Casey nail polish if you’re interested!

I guess the Oscars red carpet isn’t really the place for kooky manicures, but there were no bright nail polishes on display even, so I have to say a wee bit of a disappointment for a bright/ ridiculous nail art afficianado like myself!
