OPI Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It from the Muppets nail polish collection

A few months ago I told you all about the OPI Muppets nail polish collection and we finally got our hands on one of the polishes! Our lovely friend Sarah has tested out and written an OPI Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It review, so without further ado – here is her review and swatches…

Being a big fan of OPI, but slightly disappointed with some of the celebrity tie ups in recent years (OPI Justin Bieber and OPI Katy Perry etc), I was a bit dubious about the OPI Muppets Christmas nail polish range.

OPI Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It nail polish is red and glitter-tastic. I love the name for starters, and the bottle itself looks like a christmas decoration! It definitely got me in the festive mood.

As with many of the glittery polishes, the base colour of OPI Gettin’ Piggy With It nail polish is clear meaning multiple coats need to be applied to get the best coverage. This polish is red glitter with slightly larger silver glitter pieces.

I tried 2 thick coats of Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It, and then a third thinner coat to try and get the most even coverage of the glitter. It went on quite easily, though you do feel it’s fairly thick with 3 coats and I’m not sure how long this would last.

Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It would be great for a night out, and definitely one for the Christmas party season. Personally, I think it might be better as a glittery top coat  to jazz up other polish shades, as a top coat – any bright red colour over the Christmas season.

The OPI Muppets nail polish collection is available in the UK from October! So it will be here soon!
