It was the 2011 Emmy Awards yesterday and needless to say the stars of the small screen were out in force to celebrate… to be honest the hair and makeup from the Emmys 2011 was a bit of a snore-fest, with tonnes of celebs sticking to their usual looks. Anyway there were a few surprises and here are my pics of the best and worst hair & makeup at the Emmys this year…
The best makeup of the night goes to Kelly Osbourne – stunning!

This is flawless in my book – amazing dewy skin with peachy lips and cheeks and eyes that really pop with a lovely subtle shimmer – Kelly really has come a long way! Now I’m not 100% convinced about the hairstyle, but I love love love the colour. I’m a sucker for a proper icy blonde hair colour and Kellys Emmys colour is so icy you can still see a bit of the purple toner (but totally in a good way!)
Second up is Christina Hendricks’ Emmys hair and makeup – it’s still a touch boring and pretty standard for her, but I was really struggling to find looks I liked and didn’t want to be too negative!

Good glossy, bouncy soft curls and pretty copper lips and again eyes that pop with a bit of shimmer, but a bit of blush wouldn’t have gone amiss and she does still have that unfortunate look of smuggling the Mitchell brothers down her top.
So… that’s all I have for good Emmys hair and makeup! Now onto the bad…
The award has for the worst hair & makeup at the Emmys 2011 has to go to Paz de la Huerta.

Apparently Paz de la Huerta is one of the stars of Boardwalk Empire, but jeeze, what in the name of all that is holy is going on with this hair and makeup?! A windswept comb-over and dead-body lips don’t really scream glamour to me.
Next in my list of worst hair and makeup from the Emmys is… Giuliana Rancic.

Now I love Giuliana, but boy am I sick of this look from her. Too orange, too bland and I’m over her dip-dye hair.
Next up is Katie Holmes – her makeup is quite pretty (if a little boring), but her hair looks like mine when I put it up to take a shower!

Last on my list is a difficult one for me to include because I really do love her, but Heidi Klum….

Greasey, slicked back hair and odd too pale makeup – not your best look. And Seal…?! Yes we all know you’re a fine specimin of a man, but that is tooo much man cleavage!
