I have been having a complete love-fest with Clarins lately… I’ve been given a few of their products and have really liked most of them. Last week I told you about the Clarins Neo Pastels Eye Colour and Liner palette – gorgeous gold compact with fabulous eyeshadows and today I have Clarins Perfect Shine Sheer lipstick in Litchi to show you.
Clarins Perfect Shine Sheer lipstick seems to me like the Clarins version of Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstick – a sheer, moisturising lippie.
The texture of Clarins Perfect Shine lipstick is very smoothing, soothing and moisturising, but the Litchie colour has a subtle glitter in it and that feels a wee bit gritty on your lips. Perfect Shine Litchie smells amazing… really fresh and fruity.
The pic above doesn’t fully show the colour – it is a wee bit more frosted looking in real-life… and that’s where I have a problem with the lippie. While it has lovely texture (apart from the slight grittiness of the glitter) and is really moisturising, the colour seems a bit old-fashioned (think ’80s glam).
So I am really keen to get my hands on one of the other colours of Clarins Perfect Shine Sheer lipstick, because I’m all about sheer when it comes to lippie and the only thing I’m not loving about this Clarins Sheer lippie is the colour!
