A few days ago the lovely Beauty Junkie in London tweeted a link to her Top ten nail colour post and it got me thinking about what I would choose for my top ten polishes. AndyLou and myself get to try out a huge range of beauty and make-up products (all in the name of the blog of course), but nail polish is still my favourite beauty item, so choosing just ten was not easy! But here it is… my current top ten nail polishes (in no particular order!)…
1. Avon Nailwear Pro – Wicked nail polish
Wicked was the first Avon nail polish I had ever tried and boy was I impressed! Such a gorgeous colour with perfect, perfect texture & finish…
If you want to read more of me blathering on about how fabulous this polish is, you can read the full review in my Avon Nailwear Pro Wicked nail polish post! You can buy Avon Nailwear Pro nail polish online at Avon.
2. OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys nail polish
OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys nail polish is from the OPI Texas nail polish collection, which I loved! Lots of people weren’t so keen on the finish of the Texas collection, some of the polishes had what OPI calls a ‘sorbet’ finish – a kind of jelly finish, which means you have to do some serious layering to get an opaque finish. I have 3 or 4 coats of polish on in the pic above. Suzi Loves Cowboys is a perfect rich milk chocolate brown colour – yummy!
You can see more Texas swatches in my OPI Texas nail polish swatches post and you can You can buy OPI Texas nail polish online at lookfantastic.com
3. Models Own Orangeade nail polish
Models Own do fabulous nail polishes and this one is my favourite in my collection of them – it actually looks like the nail polish is fizzing on your fingertips! Bright, beautiful and juicy!
4. Avon Matte Violetta nail polish
Matte nail polish always chips like there’s no tomorrow, but the colour of Avon Matte Violetta nail polish is so so beautiful I just don’t care! This is such a stunning colour and always gets loads of compliments when I wear it.
5. Zoya Casey nail polish
Sorry about the mini-picture! Zoya Casey nail polish is my favourite ‘classy’ evening nail polish – it is an amazingly dark rich berry nail polish. So beautiful, so shiny and so long lasting. I love love love it!
Zoya nail polishes are fabulous, but can be a bit tricky to get your hands on – I usually buy mine from the Organic Pharmacy (but now that I’m in NZ I have no idea where to buy them!)
6. Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream nail polish
Jen from A Beauty Junkie in London has Barry M Berry Ice Cream nail polish in her top ten and I love that colour as well. In fact I love all of the Barry M Ice Cream collection nail polishes and being Barry M they are super-affordable – lovely!

7. Essie Bermuda Shorts nail polish
First up… huge apologies for the foot pic – eeew, but look how fantastic that nail polish is! Essie Bermuda Shorts is a beautiful bright purpley-pinky fuchsia nail polish.

8. Zoya Paz nail polish
Zoya Paz is a super-hot bright bright orange nail polish – it is so fabulous and I love this for my toes in summer-time. It has a fabulous texture as well and paints on like a dream *sigh* just lovely!
9. OPI Take the Stage nail polish
I loved the OPI Burlesque nail polish collection (can’t say the same about the movie!) and Take the Stage nail polish is my favourite from the Burlesque collection.
We have tonnes of OPI Burlesque swatches on the blog, so I’ll list some links!
10. H&M Dust and Diamonds nail polish
The last nail polish in my top ten list is H&M Dust & Diamonds – a beautiful ‘griege’ nail polish. I stumbled on to H&M naili polish when I impulse bought one at the H&M counter (damn their wily marketing ploys!). H&M nail polishes are excellent value and really good quality for the price. This is my go-to beige nail polish – I also have OPI You Don’t Know Jacques and I actually prefer Dust & Diamonds, it’s a wee bit lighter.
You can buy H&M nail polish online at H&M
So those are my top ten nail polishes! Do you like them…?!
