OPI have collaborated with another Disney film, this time to bring us the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Summer 2011 nail polish collection – ooooh!

The last OPI/ Disney collaboration was the OPI Shrek nail polish collection and that had two nail polishes that I absolutely loved: OPI What’s with the Cattitude nail polish and OPI Rumples Wiggin’ nail polish, so I was looking forward to seeing what the Pirates of the Caribbean collection had to offer!

There are 6 new pastel nail polishes in the collection and the new OPI Silver Shatter topcoat…

The first 3 OPI Pirates of the Caribbean nail polishes are:

  • OPI Mermaid’s Tears – a pale minty seafoam green nail polish
  • OPI Stranger Tide – a pale greeny grey nail polish
  • OPI Planks a Lot – bright pastel purple nail polish

The next 3 nail polishes in the collection are:

  • OPI Sparrow me the Drama – a dusky rose pink nail polish
  • OPI Skull & Glossbones – a murky grey nail polish
  • OPI Steady as She Rose – a super pale pink nail polish

Also in the collection is a new Shatter topcoat (like the OPI Black Shatter topcoat from the Katy Perry nail polish collection).

This shatter top coat is OPI Silver Shatter topcoat. I have to say I think I like the look of this a little bit more than the Black Shatter topcoat… I like the effect of the Black Shatter topcoat for a bit of a novelty nail, but the first black shatter/ crackle I tried was the Barry M Instant Nail Effects topcoat and priced at just £3.99 it’s a much more affordable version of the black.

I haven’t seen a silver shatter before however, so I am pretty keen to get my hands on the OPI Silver Shatter top coat and see what it’s like!

Overall I think the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean nail polish collection looks like a very pretty selection of pastels… the ones I am most keen to get my hands on are the Mermaid’s Tears nail polish and the Planks a Lot nail polish. I’m not so sure about the 2 greeny-grey polishes… what do you think? Are you a fan?
