Suzume recently told you about the gorgeous new Models Own Spring Summer nail polish collection – which I instantly fell in love with. A beautiful mix of cool and fresh blues and greys mixed with strong flashes of hot pink and gun-metal blacks. Amaze-ing!
Just looking at this new nail polish collection was enough to put me in a good mood, so you can imagine my delight when a few samples from the lovely team at Model One popped through my letter box! It was like Christmas and birthday all rolled into one!
The colours in real life are actually just as beautiful as they look in pictures and I have had a great morning painting and polishing for you to see the swatches. It’s a hard life.
Models Own Pink Fever
This is one of the brights in the Models Own Spring Summer nail polish collection and it’s a real beauty. Hot pink with a subtle silver shimmer. It applies, like many Models Own polishes, like a dream and has a great smooth and silky finish. The pink is bold but chic from the purple undertone.
This would be the perfect shade for the bold print fashion trend that we have seen hitting the catwalks lately.
Models Own BlooBoo
How pretty is this colour? Its fresh, it’s cool and is just perfect for the spring! The colour on is even nicer than it looks in this picture. It is really pale shade which is enriched delicate blue shimmer. My only negative is that it is slightly thicker to apply than the pink fever and so doesn’t result in such a smooth finish.
Models Own Concrete Mixer
In the bottle this looks like just a very light grey colour. Not that I am complaining, I am a BIG grey nail polish fan. However on application this has a warm hint of beige which softens it. Models Own Concrete Mixer would look fabulous with a tan! Come on sun…
Models Own Black Swirl
I never really got into the black nail polish trend, I just felt it was a little harsh for my liking. So Models Own Black Swirl could well be my answer to deep and dramatic nails. This is a black with swirls of dark graphite shimmer. It takes the heaviness out of a black polish. I absolutely love this for statement nails. I am also thinking it would work well for a two tone manicure with any of the other shades.Well done Models Own, not only have you made me a very happy girl but you have again produced a GORGEOUS collection of nail polishes for the new season.
