This weekend my friend got married and we all went over to Waiheke Island (just out of Auckland in NZ) for the wedding. I was one of the bridesmaids, so I thought I’d just do a quick little post about the nail polish me, the other bridesmaid and the bride wore!

First up is me – I wore Models Own Top Turquoise nail polish on my fingers and Essie Pink Parka nail polish on my toes…

Models Own Top Turquoise nail polish

I love Models Own Top Turquoise nail polish, every time I wear it I get tonnes of compliments and it is a perfect bright turquoise blue nail polish. Models Own nail polishes are fabulous – I love all of the polishes of theirs that I have, they have great texture, so two coats are all you need for perfect opaque finishes.

Top Turquoise nail polish is just one of over 80 colours of nail polish that Models Own have available, so no matter what colour you’re looking for, I would imagine you should be able to find it at the Models Own website

Models Own nail polishes cost £5 each, but if you buy 3 nail polishes you get £3 off and if you buy 5 nail polishes you get £7 off.

Essie Pink Parka nail polish

Essie Pink Parka nail polish

Essie Pink Parka nail polish is the best summer toenail polish! (It’s the middle of a very hot summer in NZ!) It is super, super bright fluroescent nail polish – the pic above doesn’t do it justice sorry – there is a better pic in this post -> Essie Pink Parka nail polish

Pink Parka has a matte finish and the texture is a little bit thick and it is really difficult to get an even finish, so I hardly ever wear it on my fingernails. But for me the amazingly bright colour more than makes up for a slightly dodgy finish!

You can buy Essie Pink Parka online from feelunique.com for £7.95 with free worldwide shipping!

Alissa, the other lovely bridesmaid wore OPI What’s with the Cattitude nail polish on her toes – this is one of my other favourite nail polishes for summer – it’s a super pretty pale baby blue. The texture, like most OPI nail polishes is just superb and 2 coats of this is perfect!

OPI What’s with the Cattitude nail polish is from the OPI Shrek nail polish collection (a bit of a random collaboration, but there are some gorgeous colours in the range!)

You can buy OPI nail polish instore at Selfridges and online at Lena White and lookfantastic for £9.95 and they do free delivery in the UK. Or if you are in New Zealand, you can buy them instore at Farmers for $24.95 or also from lookfantastic.com, but the shipping costs about £5

Last but not least is the bride, my friend Amanda – the wedding wasn’t a traditional one and she wore an amazing ’50s style prom dress for the party in gorgeous dark blue, from HoneyPie Boutique that had a black net underskirt, so she chose Avon Warm Black for her nail polish to compliment it!

Avon nail polishes and makeup were one of my favourite discoveries of 2010 – obviously I knew of Avon, but had almost discounted them as being a bit old-fashioned. I couldn’t have been more wrong! Their makeup and nail polish collection is fabulous and the packaging is really chic aswell.

You can buy Avon online at avonshop.co.uk or if you are in New Zealand you can look on avon.co.nz to find a rep near you!
