A wee while ago I wrote about my nail polish collection and how I was having to get rid of some of them (crying inside!!) as I’m making a move to NZ for a while… so I started going through my collection and choosing polishes to give away to my friends and family. I started with the Nails Inc nail polishes in my collection… but it hasn’t been as easy as I thought it might be!

Nails Inc Belgravia nail polish

I decided that I needed to have one last paint of my nails of each of the colours before I could part with them (believe me this has taken a long, long time!). The first Nails Inc nail polish I chose to test was Nails Inc Belgravia nail polish… and I’ve decided I don’t want to give it away! Oh dear tripped at the first hurdle!

Nails Inc Belgravia is a very pretty mushroom brown nail polish, not unlike Barry M Mushroom Nail Paint or Chanel Particuliere, but it also has a lovely subtle shimmer! The colour is just beautiful – I don’t quite know why I haven’t been wearing this!

I occasionally have problems with the texture of Nails Inc nail polish (and I def think the new £11 per bottle price tag is too high!), but Belgravia was a fabulous texture – not too thick and not too thin and painted on with a gorgeous even opaque finish. Just lovely!

Nails Inc Victoria Gate nail polish

Next up I tried Nails Inc Victoria Gate nail polish… this is a pretty plummy nail polish, but you can see in the pic it dried with a few streaks – I think these would have been eliminated if I’d added another coat of polish, but while it is a pretty colour I’ve decided it’s one I can live without, so it’s gone into the give-away bag!

Nails Inc Hans Road nail polish

Nails Inc Hans Road nail polish

Nails Inc Hans Road is a pretty nail polish and the texture of this one is actually really good! I have 2 coats on in the pic above and it’s perfectly even and opaque… but the colour just feels a little bit old fashioned to me, is that just because it’s not really my cup of tea? Does anyone like it?

Needless to say Hans Road has made it into the giveaway bag…

So I think so far I’m doing pretty well – only keeping 1 out of 3 so far… I’ll see how I get on with the rest of my collection though!

The best way to buy Nails Inc nail polishes is in sets, where you get better value for your money and every now and then they do fabulous sample sales in their London flagship shop.
