Well we’ve painted, polished, scrubbed, dyed, rubbed, washed and massaged our way through a whole lot of gorgeous beauty products this year, so thought you might like to see our favourite products from 2010!
1. Rimmel Lash Accelerator
When I first heard about Rimmel Lash Accelerator and it’s claims that after 30 days of continued use, your lashes will appear 117% longer, I was pretty sceptical. But wow! This stuff is so good… one of the best things about it is that you just use it instead of your regular mascara, so you don’t have to remember to apply anything extra. You can click through to my post about Rimmel Lash Accelerator to see my results – brilliant!
You can buy Rimmel Lash Accelerator online at Superdrug.com for £8.99
2. Models Own/ WAH nails Nail Art pens
This year I became slightly obsessed with leopard print manicures and in November AndyLou and I were invited along to Wah nails for the launch of the new Models Own and WAH nails nail art pens – the nail art pens are fabulous, you can of course use the for all sorts of nail art designs, but my favourite will always be leopard print!
You can buy the Models Own and WAH nails nail art pens online at modelsownit.com for £8
3. John Frieda Precision Foam Colour Hair Dye
After a twitter-plea for hair dye recommendations, AndyLou decided to try the new John Frieda Precision Foam Colour hair dye kit and she loved it! It was easy to use and the results were fabulous – rich dark colour that doesn’t look obviously fake and it left her hair silky and shiny.
You can buy John Frieda Precision Foam Colour hair dye online at superdrug.com for the special price of £5.99 (usually £9.99)
You can see AndyLou’s results in her post about John Frieda Precision Foam Colour hair dye
4. Philosophy Wild Blackberry Blossom Body Lotion & Shower Gel
AndyLou and myself are both huge fans of Philosophy, the products are just lovely and the Philosophy Wild Blackberry Blossom Body Lotion and Shower Gel are just beautiful. A fresh, fruity burst of blackberry fragrance coupled with fabulous moistursing!
You can buy Philosophy products online at QVC
You can see what AndyLou thought in her Philosophy Wild Blackerry Blossom Body Lotion and Shower Gel post
5. Nail Rock self-adhesive nail stickers
Nail Rock self-adhesive nail wraps are fabulous! These are little nail shaped stickers that you put on your nails, trim to shape and then blast them with your hair -dryer before filing them to finish off. They are like a cheaper do-it-yourself Minx manicure. Just gorgeous!
You can buy Nail Rock nail wraps online at ASOS.com
6. Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Day Cream with SPF 15 & 5 star UVA protection
Back in September I was invited along to the launch of the new Boots No7 Protect & Perfect collection with SPF 15 and 5 star UVA protection and I have been using the day cream ever since! It’s a fabulous rich day cream, but it doesn’t make your skin greasey and you know that you’re protecting your skin with the sunscreen and UVA – I really can’t recommend this enough!
You can buy Protect & Perfect Day cream online at boots.com
You can also check out some of the pics from the aging research Boots carried out in my original post about the Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Day Cream
7. Tigi Bedhead Superstar for a Day Thickening Spray
Way back in June AndyLou and I went along to the launch of the Tigi Bed Head Urban Antidotes Shampoo and Conditioner, where we were treated to a hair make-over… now the Urban Anitdotes didn’t make it onto our favourite products (sorry Tigi!), but both of us had our hair styled using Tigi Bedhead Superstar Queen for a Day Thickening Spray and it quickly became one of AndyLou’s favourite products! This really does give your hair such a boost and you can use on wet or dry hair.
You can buy Tigi Bedhead Superstar Queen for a Day online at lookfantastic.com for £9.30 (it normally retails for around £11.50. Bargain!)

8. Avon Nailwear Pro Wicked nail polish and the whole OPI Burlesque nail polish collection
So those who know me, are obviously aware that I am a little bit nail polish obsessed and this year my favourite nail polishes were Avon Nailwear Pro Wicked nail polish (first time I tried Avon nail polish) and the whole OPI Burlesque nail polish collection (I know it’s greedy to choose this many polishes, but I just can’t decide on just one!)
9. Avon Luxe Lace makeup collection
Avon hadn’t really been on my make-up radar at all until this year when we were invited along for a peek at the Avon Luxe Lace limited edition make-up range and found fabulous make-up in gorgeous packaging! (It was also at this event that I was introduced to their fab nail polish range as well!)
The Avon Luxe Lace make-up colleciton is a gorgeous mix of smokey eyes with silvery accents, rosy cheeks and pale lips – just absolutely freaking stunning!
10. A few things to look forward to in 2011
Ok, so these next few things aren’t our favourite products for 2010, but 2011 products that we’ve had a sneak peek at and absolutely can’t wait to get our hands on!
OPI Texas Spring Summer 2011 nail polish collection – fabulous bright jelly polishes and shimmers – ooooh!
Chanel Spring Makeup collection 2011 – Les Perles de Chanel – swoon! Black Pearl nail polish? Yes please! Shimmery pink blush? Oh lovely!
Boots No7 Spring Limited Edition Makeup collection – ’60s St Tropez inspired gorgeousness
Of course there are tonnes of other products that we’ve tried and loved, but these ones just stood out for whatever reason!
What’s on your list of 2010 favourites? Any the same as ours?
