Now this is a date in my diary I get very excited about! A momentous occasion, quite similar to Christmas, birthday’s anniversaries – National Chocolate Week. From 11th-17th October 2010 we are celebrating all things chocolate. This in my eyes means I am duty bound to consumer copious amounts of the cocoa wonder that is chocolate. It’s all in the name of celebration you see!!!
And it doesn’t have to be of the bar type variety! Getting in the true festive spirit I have scoured the shops to bring you my favorite ‘chocolate’ beauty products so that you can also look good enough to eat!
1. Bare Minerals Big & Bright Eyeliner ‘Chocolate’
This Bare Minerals Chocolate eyeliner is a warm and rich eyeliner, which is not as harsh as black to delicately frame your eyes.
Bare Minerals Chocolate eyeliner applies smoothly with no pulling along the lash line and doesnt smudge.
The perfect autumnal eye accessory.
Bare Minerals Big & Bright Eyeliner is avaliable from lookfantastic.com for £12
2. Bourjois ‘Délice de Poudre’ Chocolate Block Bronzing Powder
I love the fact that the Bourjois ‘Délice de Poudre’ Bronzing Powder is shaped like an actual bar of chocolate. Its fun, kitsch and makes me want to use it!
So its an added bonus that it’s also a great bronzing product .
It’s light and easy to apply, plus the iridescent formula is enriched with tiny flecks of gold to give you a really healthy glow!
If that’s not enough… it also has a gentle chocolate aroma. Yum
Bourjois ‘Délice de Poudre’ Bronzing Powder is avaliable from Superdrug at £6.99
3. Orly ‘Hot Chocolate’ Nail Polish
Orly Hot Chocolate nail polish is the colour of melted milk chocolate… It looks rich and full of flavour and colour.
Orly ‘Hot Chocolate’ nail polish is avaliable from powderpuff.net for £7.50
4. Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter Body Butter
Brownie points for smelling divine, and another because this is a seriously intense and nourishing body butter. It’s thick, creamy and soaks into the skin. I love this body butter and use it several times a week. Boots Extracts have also created this body butter using Fairtrade certified ingredients. I say thats a Brownie point hat trick!
Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter Body Butter is avaliable from Boots.com at £7.75
5. Original Source Chocolate Mint Shower Gel
I was a little worried that drenching myself in chocolate first thing in the morning may be a little sickly. Happily for me the mint in this Original Source shower gel gives it the fresh and awakening kick I needed. The chocolate is subtle and sweet against the zingy mint! It has the indulgence of an after dinner mint, but without a single calorie!
Original Source Chocolate Mint Shower Gel is priced at £1.99 avaliable in Boots and Tesco stores.
6. Botanic Earth Mud Mask
My favourite of the chocolate beauty products as it smells like melted cadburys in a jar. This is an organic and handmade face mask from a company called Live Native. It’s enriched with raw cacoa powder which has tremendous therapeutic benefits and deeply cleanses your skin with its rich formula of organic ingredients. One of which is rejuvenating 23k gold leaf! You can’t get more luxurious in face masks than this!
Botanic Earth Mud mask costs £29.99 for 60g from livenative.com
7. Nubar ‘Chocolate Caramel’ Nail Polish
Nubar Chocolate Caramel nail polish is a rich bronze nail polish with dazzling golden shimmer flecks.
Nubar ‘Chocolate Caramel’ nail polish is avaliable from beautyshed.co.uk for £8
8. Stargazer ‘Chocolicious’ 505 Nail Polish
A muted milky coco nail polish.
