So I’m sure everyone has heard all about Lancômes new foundation – Lancôme Teint Miracle foundation. This foundation has apparently been 10 years in the making and promises to reproduce the light that emanates from the most beautiful skin with Aura-Inside™ technology (hmmm not so keen on the made up technology names).

Anyway my Mum has been looking for a good foundation for an absolute age, she lives in NZ and years of exposure to the harsh NZ sun has meant that she has sun damaged skin and always wants to wear an SPF 15 foundation. She also has quite sensitive skin and finds that lots of foundations really irritate it – she’s tried Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Maybelline… (the list goes on!) but none seem to be right.

I had heard lots of good things about Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation and thought it might be a good match for Mum, so we popped down to the Lancôme counter at Selfridges to see if it lives up to all the hype!

After the initial fright of the Lancôme girl’s make-up (wee bit over the top!) my Mum sat down to have the  Lancôme make up artist specifically match her skin with a Lancôme foundation. She chose a shade of Teint Miracle foundation that I thought would be far too dark, but it suited my Mum’s skin tone perfectly. Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation smoothed over Mum’s dry skin without being too oily (it’s an oil-free foundation) and evened her complexion beautifully.

Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation suits my Mum’s skin perfectly and she’s really pleased! The foundation lasts really well and keeps skin hydrated all day and has the added bonus of having SPF15 (but remember your UVA protection as well – Boots N07 Protect & Perfect Day cream is fab!!)

Mum loved the whole experience of the Selfridges Lancôme counter as well, the make up artists were absolutely lovely and so approachable and they didn’t push with a crazy hard sale either.

You can buy Lancôme Teint Miracle online from and it costs £25 or you could of course do what we did and pop into Selfridges.
