Today’s nail polish – Essie Lilacism

My mum is over in London for a holiday and today we popped down to Hollywood Nails for mother-daughter mani-pedis, I chose Essie Lilacism nail polish for my manicure….

Essie Lilacism is a very pretty pale lilac nail polish, but similarly to Essie Lapis of Luxury nail polish, the nail polish is seriously let down by the consistency. While the polish is pretty, it is so so freaking streaky! It’s just too thin to get a good finish. i have two coats of polish on in the picture, you can’t really see how bad the streaks are in the pic though… but trust me they’re there.

Boo! I’m really disappointed – if you’re looking for a pretty lilac purple nail polish I’d recommend either Barry M Berry Ice Cream nail polish or OPI Rumple’s Wiggin’ nail polish even though the colour of Essie Lilacism is seriously pretty!

On the other hand (oh dear no pun intended I promise!) my Mum chose the completely fabulous OPI Red my Fortune Cookie red nail polish
